Professional Standards & Expectations

At The Nanny Haven, we represent highly qualified candidates and are committed to professional placements. Families working with our agency are expected to provide competitive compensation, legal payroll, and paid time off that align with industry standards. Our rates reflect the extensive time, vetting, and support involved in matching families with top-quality candidates. This ensures a positive and successful experience for both the family and the household employee.

Candidate Rates:

  • Nanny's charge $25-$32/hour (up to 40 hours in a week). Domestic employees are required to receive overtime pay for any hours worked exceed 40 hours per week. Overtime is one and one-half times the normal hourly rate. To learn more, visit care.com/homepay

  • Nanny/Household Managers generally charge $32-$35/hr based on experience and job scope.

  • Nanny/Household Managers/Family Assistant’s generally charge $35-$45/hr based on experience and job scope.

  • Private educators generally charge $40-$65/hr for 20-30 hours per week.

  • Babysitters charge $23 plus an hour and will have a 3 hour minimum. To learn more about our Babysitting Service (in select areas) click here.

  • The rate varies due to several factors: Number of children being cared for, household and childcare duties preformed, education and years of experience of the candidate. The family will be aware of the nannies rate prior to interviews.

Cost of Service:

  1. $300 Family Consultation: This includes a 45 minute zoom consultation where we will go over all the details of the position, and the type of candidate that will work best with your family. We do not just send out resumes, we spend a great deal of time creating a detailed job description and match all qualified candidates based on your family’s needs.

  2. One-Time Placement Fees: Nanny's annual salary, based on 52 weeks per year, and are as follows:

    • Nanny: 10% of Nanny’s annual salary

    • Nanny/Household Manager: 13% of candidate’s annual salary (35+ hours per week - school aged children)

    • Nanny/Household Manager/Family Assistant: 15% of candidate’s annual salary (40+ hours per week - school aged children)

    • Temporary Nanny placement: (4 months – 11 months): 15% of the Nanny’s total income. Minimum of $3,500

    • Nanny Share: 16% of candidates annual salary (each family pays 8% to Agency plus $300 registration fee). Each family will pay monthly over 12 months

    • Summer Nanny Placement: $300 application fee. $1,500 (June-August only)

    • Private Educator: 13% of candidates annual salary (minimum of $4,000)

Replacement Periods:

  • Full-Time Placement (40+ hours per week) - One year replacement period

  • Part-Time Placement (35-39 hours per week) -3 months replacement period


Babysitting Service Fees:

  • $300 one time registration fee to become a member. Becoming a member means you will have access, and a personal login, to our premium service where you can book fully vetted and background checked babysitters, tutors, and newborn care.
