We believe in being upfront and transparent — no surprises here! Below you'll find details on nanny salary ranges and our agency fees, so you can budget with confidence from the start.

Nanny & Household Management Rates:

  • Nannies: $25–$35/hour (up to 40 hours/week). Travel Nanny rates are agreed upon based on expectations, with a typical minimum of $40/hour.

  • Nanny/Household Managers: $35–$45/hour, based on experience and job scope

  • Babysitters: $23+/hour, 3-hour minimum (available in select areas) — learn more about our Babysitting Service

Overtime
Domestic employees must receive overtime pay for any hours worked beyond 40 in a week, at one and a half times their normal hourly rate. To learn more, visit care.com/homepay.

What affects the rate?
Pay varies based on:

  • Number of children in care

  • Household and childcare duties performed

  • Candidate's education & experience

  • Location

  • Weekday vs Weekend care

Agency Fees & Replacement Guarantee:

Family Consultation — $300
Includes a Zoom consultation to go over every detail of the position and the type of candidate who'll be the best fit for your family. We don't just send resumes — we build a detailed job description and carefully match qualified candidates to your family's specific needs.

Placement Fees
Based on the candidate's first year expected annual salary (52 weeks/year):

  • Nanny: 10% of annual salary, $4.500 minimum

  • Nanny/Household Manager (35+ hrs/week, school-aged children): 13% of annual salary, $4,500 minimum

  • Temporary Nanny Placement (4–11 months): 15% of total income, $4,500 minimum

  • Nanny Share: 16% of annual salary total — split 8% per family

  • Live-In Nanny: 15% of annual salary

  • Summer Nanny Placement (June–August): $300 application fee + $1,500 placement fee

Replacement Guarantee

  • Full-Time Placement (40+ hours per week): 1-year replacement guarantee

  • Part-Time Placement (30-39 hours per week): 90-day replacement guarantee

  • Temporary and Summer Placement: 15-day replacement

Babysitting Service Fees:

  • $300 one time registration fee to become a member. Becoming a member means you will have access, and a personal login, to our premium service where you can book fully vetted and background checked babysitters, tutors, and newborn care.
