Activities for Kids in Nashville, TN

Spring is here and ahead of the summer break if you are a parent/nanny planning on some activities its that time of the year for the kids to have some fun. With the pandemic still fresh in our minds, the only way to get over it is to be out and about. So here are some cool activities that the kids, nannies and even the parents/guardians can try and do both at home and outside:

Lets go!

If you are a nanny or parent for a 12 year+ kid, and looking out for something more engaging head to “The Escape room”  at 3 different locations, they have 11 escape rooms from basic to the advance skills! Do book before you head out.

Head to the Downtown library (check the website for timings) for some story time. They have something for everyone including adults, teens and kids.

Being in the “Music City USA” Nashville is home of the country and western music and The Country Music Hall of Fame, the Ryman and Johnny Cash Museum. There are of course other options as well but these ones are family friendly and sure you give you great memories.

And how can one forget – waterparks! Nashville Shores Water Park & Wave Country for the little swimmers and surfers!

How can we miss gardens- a place mix of nature’s beauty and peace. Cheekwood Art and Gardens hosts events throughout the year. Currently they have ‘2023 Cheekwood in Bloom from 11th March  till 9th April 2023.

Aah, now bored of coloring the pages and canvas? Head out to for some cool pottery making at Nashville, Tennessee.  Here is the list of places to check out for kids and adults alike  Do check the timings before you drive down. Whats more, you can even gift the masterpiece that would be created out of this one.

Tied now of being out and want to relax be in the comfort of your home but out of ideas of what to do next? Got you covered!

Colors, colors – whats your favorite color?:

Kids relate a lot to colors and can do wonders (& even disasters – so better watch out). Get the crayons, paints, sketch pens out and let their imagination flow on the canvas. Turn the place into a  little art house.  .It also helps acts as a source of communication for them to color and paint the thing they like & wish to talk about or simply share.

Backyard diaries.

Bubbles are something kids and adults enjoy alike. Make “big bubbles” with the DIY on youtube/tiktok.

Plan a picnic and fun games like bucket race, planting a seed, making a bird feeder etc. Re-cycle to use old materials to make something fun and new.

Somethings cooking?

For young kids fireless cooking is a great way for them to create something edible and enjoyable. Make some lemonade, add fruits like watermelons to give it a twist of color and taste. Decorating the cookies with colorful sprinklers or even decorating pancakes with their favorite fruits and in any shape, character they like.

Ice cream- who doesn’t love the good ice cream wrapped inside a cone? Try to make the favorite flavours at home & let the kids decorate with sprinkles, chocolate chips.
